Brian is a disabled wartime veteran. He joined the Navy in Sparks, and attended his Navy ROTC training in Sparks.  Brian moved to Nevada 26 years ago, after serving in the Persian Gulf war, as an air traffic controller stationed on the USS Carl Vinson.  After completing his tour, he moved to Nevada and began a career as an Electrician and Certified Project Manager. He attended Truckee Meadow Community College, through a four-year electrical apprenticeship, becoming a licensed journeyman electrician. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration- Information Systems from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Brian began his career as an electrician, but spent most of his time as a certified Project Manager. In the private sector Brian worked in the local area assisting in the construction of the Nugget towers, Lou Mendive Middle School, Spanish Springs, and Bud Beasley Elementary to name a few local projects in Sparks and Ward 4.

Brian worked for the State of Nevada as a Project Manager, managing projects throughout the State. He has 10 years of government experience in budgeting, financial management and the legislative process. Brian has assisted in the legislative process in creating State laws and Administrative codes. While working for the State Brian assisted in the Capital Improvement projects, State master plan, and the budget process for approved projects in addition to managing the construction and maintenance of State buildings and infrastructure.

Brian understands the area, he has witnessed the growth in Spanish Springs and Ward 4 and is prepared to work with the community to be the voice of the community.

Brian is married and has two step children.  He has been married for two years where he and his wife raise her boys.  Brian has been a volunteer at the Alf Sorensen community center coaching basketball, and volunteers at the local elementary school.
